ABSTRACT: This INSIGHT is the fourth in a series that deals with the issue of the validation of a freeze-dryer, namely, the Operational Qualification (OQ) of the dryer. Please be advised that the names of the any organization, society or company used in this INSIGHT is fictional and any similarity to any existing organization is purely coincidental. The INSIGHT will again use the fictional characters that have been used in the previous INSIGHTs of this series. The use of a dialog between the characters is to illustrate key points that one must be aware of while performing the OQ of a dryer especially when it comes to the computer control system.
