Information on Lyophilization
Phase offers those interested in lyophilization a number of ways to increase their knowledge in this field. The key methods are as follows:
Seminars: Our lyophilization seminar, presented by Dr. Thomas Jennings, provides a means for obtaining a comprehensive understanding of all of the key principles that are as associated with this technology. Because of the intensity and scope of the seminar, each attendee is provided with a complete set of notes. The seminar is not just a series of papers but a well organized and time tested presentation that will take you step by step through the development process, container-closure system and the freeze-drying equipment and its associated instrumentation.
Workshop: The format of this program is quite different than that of the seminars in that the attendees govern the topics and to what depth they will be covered. While the workshop will be monitored by Dr. Jennings, offers an unique means for the attendees to cover those topics of lyophilization that are of particular interest and to take a more active participation in the program.
Publications: For the past 20 years Dr. Jennings has been the author or co-author of 22 papers on a wide variety of topics regarding the lyophilization process and its associated equipment and instrumentation. He has also contributed a chapter on the validation of lyophilization. While these publications are not as comprehensive as the seminar notes or involved as a workshop discussion, they will provide you with a reference base for the lyophilization process.
